Steve -- Welcome to the SoS forums! I hope you find the resources and people you need for your model building on SoS. I've found that the best way to engage with the members here is to do a build log and to post your questions to the site in bold. I'm into my 4th or 5th build log now and it's great to get feedback on my builds. Things like best ways to unglue bad joints, priming and precoating, presentation, and using unfamiliar tools (like a spokeshave). As for AI, I've only used it to generate rudimentary dioramas for some of my builds. I'm planning to use AI more to generate diorama backgrounds of Zuider Zee and Balkan ports for my Dutch merchant marine builds. Here's an AI generated picture of one of my recent builds at work on the Chesapeake Bay. One of my ship building interests is working fishing, crabbing and oyster boats of the Mid-Atlantic region, so the Annie Buck Chesapeake Bay deadrise crab working boat was a fun small project.
