Thanks mate, appreciated!Wonderful model! Congratulations on your progress!

Hi Jackie. It's good to be back indeed. Early today I've scratched and glued on the two fashion pieces which required a tricky notch each to embed the extra beam (a bracket for the rear end of the cabin floor I added accordingly to Antscher's monograph). It was a bit of a damned job.Hi Albert, hope you are well. Good to see you back with great progress. Will your Hoy got the masks & rigging system? I found the rigging plan for the bowsprit in this kit is very different from David Antscherl.

I think this make sense. it looks like kinds of fairlead that allows the line to get through. Laurels are too luxurious for a working ship.Hoy is a typical harbour ship. These are probably portholes for ropes to float tree logs. That's why hole is near the capstan.
At least, that's my guess.

Antscherl’s guess of that bench, suggests this could be a passenger ship. hoy are multi purpose ships.

Oh, sorry, didn't get it was you. I have been binge-watching your thread about your great Swan class sloop, possibly my next project. Thank you so much!Wonderful model! Congratulations on your progress!
I had a lot of fun building that model! Of course, you will need the book series - and I commend to you the work of our colleague:Oh, sorry, didn't get it was you. I have been binge-watching your thread about your great Swan class sloop, possibly my next project. Thank you so much!

Some minor steps have been already taken... . Ricci's model is outstanding, but I find your log more instructive to a naive like me. Kind Regards!I had a lot of fun building that model! Of course, you will need the book series - and I commend to you the work of our colleague:
H.M.S. PEGASUS - Swan Class by David Antscherl & Greg Herbert Scale 1:36
As I had anticipated, I started a new challenge: the construction of an English frigate, with a carpentry that, until now, I had never approached. Very fascinating architecture, and a model, the Pegasus that struck me immediately, already from the first splendid images seen. I am studying a lot...shipsofscale.com

This intermediate cannon looks good. but how could Amati get to sleep at night with such “sviwel gun”1:100 12 pounder customized for HMS Victoy kit got in the net vs Amati's "sviwel gun".

That's a good point. Let's say that most of the "heritage companies" still remain in the dark ages of modeling. I came back in the business after maybe 30 years just because of some amazing POF models, inconceivable and/or unaffordable except from China, as well of Canadian, US and EU companies wich started investing in this niche hobby. This intermediate cannon looks good. but how could Amati get to sleep at night with such “sviwel gun”![]()

It was a lots of effect to sand and fit that inlay. well doneHere my first dental inlay.... Antscherl defines Swan's simplier version of this piece "awkward" to scratch, so I'm pretty happy with it. Now the port side...

Thanks Jackie. In all honesty this is my 3rd o 4th try... I just couldn't figure out which sketch was the most suitable to the raw piece. It was a lots of effect to sand and fit that inlay. well done.
Mine inlay rested in the trash bin.
