I am building a 1/200 scale model of the USS Sunfish (SSN 649 - a Sturgeon class boat - in which I had my summer cruise as a Midshipman in 1969). I got plans from a vendor . i made the circular frames out of 1/8 inch plywood. My question is does anyone have experience with adding a hull? If so, what are the best materials, wood or styrene? Is it best to put the hull on vertical or horizontal?
thanks in advance for any advice.
