hull planking

I have a question to all out here. I am building the Tersane models fishing boat. Unlike some ship models where you can run the planking wild at the aft end this model requires fitting it into the aft end. Please see photo. How do I do this? Instructions don't say.

Same as at the forward end. Measuring/adjusting will be a bit tricky if you want the planks to remain in one piece.
