Hello everyone! This is my first post on Ships of Scale, but I’m no stranger here—I’m the builder behind the "HMS ALERT 1777 Trident model by HongBin."https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/threads/hms-alert-1777-trident-model-by-hongbin.3330/I was lucky enough to be among the very first batch to get my hands on the ICTINEO-II kit. The subject is so refreshingly original—it caught my eye immediately. My initial plan was a 1–2 week straight-build (OOB), but, as expected, I quickly fell in love with it. The deeper I got, the more hooked I became. Before I knew it, I was making major modifications: upgrading the structure, swapping out parts, and thoroughly enjoying the whole tinkering process. I’ve added notes to the photos below to highlight the specific changes. Welcome to take a look and feel free to offer your feedback!
I scoured for proper reference material on the ICTINEO-II but came up empty-handed. My apologies in advance—most of the part/position names I use here are made up on the fly and likely inaccurate.
