What are the float looking things hanging off the stern of La Belle Poule? Are they fishing gear related? Or perhaps boat buoys? They’re not identified in the OcCre kit that I can tell.

I would not say that these are life-RINGS -> these are life BUOYS
such buoys hanging at the sterns were developed beginning in the 19th century - a very good example is shown on the La Creole made by Johann alias @archjofo


such buoys are shown in the monographs of the Jacinthe and the Creole
