I am interested in the early "windjammer" period from the 1860's to the 1930's where many vessels were under sail and steam power. I just built the Esmeralda Chilean windjammer from 1927 and would love to build the Gorch Fock, the Star of India, the Preussen and others. I've read Eric Newby's books about the great grain races from Australia to England and would love to scratch-build the Moshulu and build the 1/150 Nippon Maru kit from Woody Joe.
