Dear Friends
I am opening the forum in order to receive guidance and an answer to the question of whether and how to get a coupon or discount for a purchase on the ancre website. Do and when (such as: Christmas and any other date / holiday) do they have sales on the books and monographs. Can our site that has a large number of participants and purchasing power can promote the issue in front of them
Thank you so much Shota

Hello, my friend, I think, the best way to sign up for their newsletter. You will receive their promotions (if any) as well as upcoming news e.g. newly published books.

Happy modeling,

I already once started such a discussion with Didier Berti from ancre some time ago.
It is really problematic, due to the fact, that the margin he is calculating is very small and also the edition of such monographs and publications is often very small. Therefore in moment it is not easy for him to make a general discount - I think, this we have to understand and also accept this - ANCRE is a very specialised publisher - squeezing them to the last cent makes this business uneconomical - and we need such publishers for our hobby.

Nevertheless ancre is giving often a discount on the price when you order the new publication before or shortly after the official release date.

F.e. in moment the monograph of the LA SAVOIE is announced.
Normal price will be 78 Euros, in moment you can order it for a reduced price of 70 Euro.

And sometimes, when he has to "clean up" his stock, he is announcing special discounts on some books published on his web-page and newsletter.
When I have such an information I will publish and announce this in this topic

What disappoints me is that the shipping cost is about 40% of the monograph price. In my opinion, it is unlikely that the cost of shipping a monograph, which costs 110 euros and weighs 2 kg, will reach 45 euros from France to Israel.
I order quite a few products with similar and even higher weights from Europe East Asia and the United States, and the price of the shipping cost less. Unfortunately there is a possibility that some suppliers and sites make the shipping cost as a method of compensating for a seemingly attractive product cost and in fact make the whole deal expensive and unprofitable.
For the avoidance of doubt, I do not blame that this is the case with ancra, but in the overall pricing situation of the monograph with the delivery, it just becomes expensive and unattractive.
if they were going towards us we would probably buy on a larger scale.
It is clear to me and even important to me that manufacturers and suppliers like them should benefit and continue to serve us

Sorry, but here I have to write an objection, because the members could get a wrong impression about the postage costs by ancre. Ancre is NOT earning additional money, these are the costs of the french post.....
1) In France there is no "slow" parcel service existing by the post, so for international postage ancre has to use "collisimo" which has every time automatically insurance and tracking.
2) Unfortunately (related to the post costs) you are living in Israel, which has the same postal costs from France like Australia or HongKong - and these are the post costs and not ancre costs. This, if you would like, you can easily check on the web-site of the french post.
F.e. the costs sending a 5kg parcel from France to Austria is much much cheaper. appr. 1/3 of your costs.
BTW: Ancre is clearly showing their postage costs on their own web-page, so there will be no surprise.
