Is it okay to build two ships, or is it too much?

The famous painter Rubens could do more at a time than any other, for his customers could choose either, depending on the price they were willing to pay:
1) paintings realized by the master alone
2) paintings realized by the master with the help of his students
3) paintings realized by the students, with enhancements and improvements of the hand of the master himself.
Up to you to find some people to!

I am already building a ship kit. However, an opportunity arose for me to buy a different ship kit. I like to start on the second kit while doing the first.
What are your thoughts on this idea?
I have two residences and so of course two builds going on at the same time ;-)

I have 3 benches for modeling with one being dedicated to rigging. I always have at least 3 different models being built, all at various stages, to keep them progressing. Eyes only last a short while to rig, so rather than "twiddle" my thumbs, I can go work on something else. Presently, I have 3 wooden ships on the benches, a building block P-51D on a tray to pull out, with parts sorted and placed in order of the steps, building for a local military museum. And, when I paint, I group and prime at once, to be waiting for its turn to build. I especially like to have several primed, in the queue, before winter because here in Maine temps make it difficult to use rattle can paint outside. In addition, I try to detail paint several models that need the same color, and have 3 all completely painted, ready to assemble! (I don't have a store full like many modelers do, but have probably 3 doz in queue bought over a period of time as I found good prices--like great finds on EBAY!

Blessings to all!
