I spend much time reading posts on SOS and also have been to modelshipbuilder.com. Recently modelshipbuilder.com stopped working and I get a 404 error. Also MSB Journal with link here in SOS is broken. Is anybody else having these problems? Does anyone know what’s happened?
The old software that the site was running on started giving everyone security warnings and wouldn't open unless you shut off a bunch of the security settings on the computer. I know Winston started working on converting the old information to a new software package. I don't have details on where that is in the process but believe it will eventually come back up.
Will be making the site public soon. Perhaps by the end of the weekend. Haven't decided on a forum software to use yet, but that will come in time. Only so many hours in a day.
Ditto, The Learner. Winston, thank you for your dedication and passion concerning modeling wooden ship models. Model Ship Builder has been a great resource. I am amongst a great number of modelers who will welcome its revitalization in the near future.
looking at the new site i really like the way it is setup you go to the main home page and from there you can go directly to how to articles, projects, plans, publications and a coming soon forum.
This is an afterthought that just came to mind. If you try to access the new site from a bookmarked link in your browser you will need to delete that bookmark and re-create it as the URL to the site is slightly different. The old link would have gone to http://modelshipbuilder.com/news.php or https://modelshipbuilder.com/news.php. These links no longer valid.
After you delete the bookmark, refresh your browsers cache (hold the CTRL key and hit the Reload page button at the top of your browser).
