IV Open Cup of Kyiv 2013

Wow again! I would love to be able to attend something this magnificent. Hopefully events like this will be able to continue in the future. Thanks for posting this for us to see.

Bill
I think there are many similar things in America. It's difficult with this in Ukraine now. But yes, I would also really like to attend such an event more than a dozen times.

If on this: http://serikoff.ucoz.ru/forum/ then I am registered there. There is a lot of useful information, unfortunately, the war made its corrections :(
Many from Ukraine and not only, were on this forum. Yes.. it is very sad that because of the war he also almost died.. But now we are here. this forum very kindly accepted and for that thank him.
I've been here too...
Didn't find yourself in a random photo?)))

Sergey, you really created a feast for the eyes!)) Thank you very much. I got aesthetic pleasure)
It’s strange, I didn’t notice any sailing models in the C-4 class, were there really none?

In this photo I recognized only Olya Danilyuk and, if I’m not mistaken, the one on the far right is Sasha Belov?)

I photographed everything that was))) Yes, this is Olya. And what about the 3rd from the right. This is Dmitry Shevelev. He is already a legend in our world))

Amazing ship modeling. The true masters are in Ukraine and Russia. I wish we had similar a ship modeling community and shows here.
As far as I know, there are similar competitions and meetings in the US. Olya often posts something similar. And yes, I agree. This year was unforgettable!

I realized that this topic interests you, and I have some bonuses for you.

Below, I will post photos of models made by Dmitry Shevelev (he is the third from the right in the photo). In 2013, these models were unfinished. But now, a 75-gun ship is already complete.
However, before that, I will show Belle Poule from another exhibition (I don't remember which one) in a more finished form, but still incomplete.

By the way... The black line is not painted wood! These are different parts of the planks! The upper black ones are one row that was joined with the lower planks without any painting. In other words, the entire waterline is the junction of the upper black planks with the lower unpainted pear wood planks. Can you imagine the scale of work with such complexity?! Wow.

This is not the end yet!

What a pity! I recently reviewed the records from the past two or three years and found that there are practically no sailing models in the C-4 class. :(
On the other hand, it’s understandable—working on a small scale is probably very difficult. However, I’ll soon find out "the hard way," as I’ve just started building a new model in a small scale myself! :)
Many others were there, some of whom I had seen: Postykin, Akimov, Yepur, Shevelyov, Kuzmin, Kapinos, Mizev, Radko, and how many of those whom I had not seen...
From this list, the only names I recognize are Epur, Shevelev, Kapinos, and Mizev. What can I say, I'm still new to this hobby and have never attended events like these, although Andrey Feshchenko did invite me this year. :)
