Jim Barnes for sale

I just placed a 12" Byrnes Table Saw up for auction on ebay with several accessories. I stopped using this saw several years
ago when I purchased Jim's incredible 18" model. Fortunately I saved the box it was shipped in!

If everything goes well, you will soon become a millionaire. ;) ROTFROTFROTFROTF

Looking at the pictures you posted on your eBay ad, are we seeing just the saw and its standard tools and the tilt table? What other "add-on" attachments/accessories are included with the sale? Can you provide a detail list of each of the accessory items you are including in this post? Thanks...

Oops, I apologize. I see a more detailed list on the sales page, including Rip Taper Gage, Micrometer Stop, Blade Guard, Extended Rip Fence, Miter Gage, Hex Keys, and 40 Tooth Carbide Blade. If this is a complete list, no need to recopy. Thanks...

Well, my Byrnes 12" table saw sold for $900. Unfortunately Jimsky it didn't make me a millionaire. Someone on Ebay did ask me a question about how much they should pay for a Byrnes table saw on Ebay if another one became available and this was my response-

Well as you know two of these saws recently sold on Ebay one for $1,800 and the other (new in unopened box with multiple accessories) for $4,100! I placed my used but fully functional saw up for auction starting at $1,000. There were over 125 views and 48 watching! I received an offer for $700 and responded with a $900 counteroffer offer which the bidder accepted. For a used one with some accessories I would not pay more than $1,250.

As you know Jim Byrnes died last year of ALS so no new saws are available at this time but I found this note on their web site-
"Jim was a humble, quiet man who was deeply loved and will be missed by so many. Our hearts - as family, as co-workers, as woodworkers, as friends - are broken. For the moment, we are uncertain about the future of Byrnes Model Machines - but we're working on it, and hope to have an announcement in the next few weeks."

So I would keep a close eye on their web site and we are all hoping and praying that production of these incredible wood working instruments resumes in the near future. You don't want to pay $1,500 for one of their table saws on Ebay only to find out one month later that they have resumed production!

Current reports in an online forum are that Byrnes model machines are now back in production and orders may be placed for them. Their website is awaiting updating. Phone them if need be. (The accessories, etc. have always been available.) Secondhand information here, but believed accurate from a generally reliable source.

Hmmm, I thought I saw on eBay that the auction was to go for 7 days. I made a note to look at the bids on the morning of August 1. Well, congratulations on the sale! Thumbs-Up
