Hi Everyone,
My name is Dan and I am located in a tiny suburb of Los Angeles, California named San Dimas. I am 73 years young and have been building models both plastic and wood since I was a kid. The hobby has been off and on for many years. You may notice my username is Roughworks. Hmmm, why that name. Most if not all of my boat and ship kit builds have been rather rough in finish and build. Unlike those clean builds you see on the site. I keep trying to slow down and do a better build, but ultimately it comes out a little rough. Fortunately, the ships I choose are tug boats, dorys, fishing boats, etc. So they look okay just not refined. I am currently working on the Billings Boats Havmagen. It’s a challenging build for me. I will start a build log once I get a better handle on how to navigate the site. Look forward to getting to know a lot of you and getting some well needed advice on my builds as they progress. Glad to be on board.

Thank you. Glad to be a part of this forum. I see you are an administratior, I was trying to update my cover photo but I am getting errors saying image error. I am using Mac OS so it's not windows. Is there anything I need to do to get the picture to upload.

Welcome aboard, Dan - enjoy your ride!

P.S. Check the pixel size of the image you're trying to upload - there are usually fairly tight limitations on forum software. :)
