It's a nice kit, but if you compare the model with drawings of the original lugger at the NMM or the reconstruction of Boudriot you will find some differences. I don't have any idae, which is the base for the Shipyard model

Hello Christian. We all well know the answers to this question\statement. Kit manufacturers (for the most part) don't bother with the historical accuracy on the first place. They have a different goals, and to make kits affordable for modelers it is simplified in some ways. It is us who should make a deep research and build the model close to the original (if this is the desired). A lot of people bashing kits and build the model the way the like\can. However, I hardly see you can bash a cardboard much....That's IMHO (In My Humble Opinion)

Hello Jim,

what you said, was my original intention. Alert and Coureur are nice models, even if they do not meet the dimensions of the original ships. In a diorama with both models people will look to the interaction. So my idea is to build them and show a possible cutout from the battle of 17.06.1778.
If I will realize this I don't know in the moment.

It is a brilliant idea to show both in diorama! We will be happy to see the construction in your build log, no matter how long we will wait for you to start. SOAS will be here!!
