Once upon a time, in 2019, before COVID-19 and the war, I was on Cyprus on vacation and I saw the Kyrenia ship (wiki) replica (a ship of the 4th century BC) in Limassol Marina and decided to make a small cardboard model of it, as a gift. After these 7 years I saw the Kyrenia II replica last summer, in August 2025, she's still there! Then, in 2019, I went to a local supermarket and bought an office knife, a white glue, paper and so on to make something sitting by the sea side in Limassol. The threads I borrowed in the cloth repair shop on the ground floor of the building. Honestly, I've failed to complete it on Cyprus and did it when I was at home already, but I found the pictures recently and decided to share with you.
The technology of the build was a bit different from a standard cardboard modelling I used to in my childhood, it is more common to the wooden kit/scratch builds, but I've done it just for fun and I hope you would enjoy it!
So this is where I started (a notebook as a source of paper and cardboard, the "plans" were printed on a reception of a hotel nearby, thanks to them):
