Hello
Some couple of month passed since I last posted something. I've been busy with finishing rest of decorations of La Renommée.
Now I can finally show my results. Since this is a 3d-printable model it will take some time to test print and fit everything together.
The reason it took so much time is I needed also a compatible hull even for a stern section only. I made some prototypes for testing, but results weren't satisfying enough.
I had to really squise potential from Blender and made a loft of hull in one program without any other CAD software. It turns out with enough addons blender
has enough CAD-like functions to properly loft a hull.
Now I have a dilema wether should I make another 3d-print stern model or should I complete at least hull. I miss working with wood, but on other side is bringing back to life
beatiful ships existing only on drawings.

Lofting a hull is not enough now I needed to finish it somehow. I didn't want to have entire hull 3d printed-too long printing time and I have only resin printer.
I managed to design something in between, hybrid of sort. Lower body benteeth 1st deck is laser cut plywood, upper is 3d print with all the fancy curves of ship already established

Other dilema I have if I decide to go with the hull. Should I make La Renommée or her sister ship La Comete
