Hi all

Having completed my scratch built HMS Victory (1:72) a year or so ago I decided that it was time to build another vessel. I settled on La Venus and bought plans from Ancre at the start of the year dark pear for the axial structure from hobbymill.eu.

Below are some photos of progress to date. I have done quite a bit of reading of threads on the forum but not really found anything definitive on bevelling frames. So I am wondering what techniques forum members use. Also, I am getting a bit confused by all the solid and dotted lines on the frame plans for the bevelling process. Any advice gratefully accepted. Have a great Christmas and New Year everyone.

Great technique using different color highlighter pens on opposing frame faces. Much harder to get them turned around the wrong way.

I posted this in the practice area, how do I post it to the Help Area of your website? I would like to know what methods/techniques folk use to bevel frames.

@Jimsky Can you help this member move his thread...
Instead of moving this post to the help area, @JonB Jon, would you like to start a build log of Le Venus? This way, you will get help directly to your log and you may get more followers (more suggestions). ;)
