Liburnian model...scale 1:72...trying to build...

Well, I for one am very interested in following the construction of this unusual model. So please keep posting.

The model is actually already finished...I wanted to show the entire process here. Unfortunately, ships of that era aren't popular...nor are models of this type. I thought I'd show a photo of the finished model and leave it at that...

I understand your frustration at the lack of interest in your wonderful model, and perhaps you are unwilling to go to the trouble of posting your construction process for such a small audience, but I would certainly appreciate it if you did. Also, may I suggest that while there are only a few of us following your build of this unusual model at this time, once posted it will remain for the edification of other modellers for a very long time and may encourage us to attempt less "run of the mill" European 17th-18th century Admiralty style models.
Personally, I find scatch built models much more interesting than kit models no matter how well built they are, and even more so when you have done the research and drawn the plans yourself, even if they are not necessarily up to contemporary museum research standards. Certainly your craftsmanship in my opinion is second to none (your Norse longship is exquisite), especially given your very modest workshop facilities. I have learnt a lot from following your various posts, they inspire me to plug on with my much less talented model-making, and can only hope that you will at least post a summary of the building process.
Best wishes,
Bob
