Hello everyone,
My name is Linus Spjutsberg. I live in rural Skåne in southern Sweden, where I teach visual arts and physical education at a secondary school. I teach and study british military swordsmanship. (napoleonic era HEMA)
In my spare time I run a YouTube channel called Linus Napoleonic Shipyard. It covers Age of Sail naval history, 1/700 scale ship modelling and Napoleonic-era naval wargaming. Most of my builds are small-scale warships and dioramas of single-ship actions from the period, and I try to base them as closely as I can on contemporary sources.
Some of you may have seen my three-part article series in Ships in Scale. I have also been working on Shipwright's Companion, a free browser tool for working out mast and spar dimensions from period sources such as Steel. I will post an update on it separately.
