Major Collectors find.

Today I passed by Model Expo to give Carlos the new little “Skiff” model he commissioned me for their new online catalog.
Like always I do, I took a walk through the warehouse, which I call (Paradise).
I saw something that made my jaw dropped.
Right on front of me I could walls of boxes of all kinds of models.
All of these models came from ONE collector.
Maybe you guys don’t know, but ME buys huge lots of models from collectors and this particular one had three rooms and half of his living room full of models. Of course he was a “Model Hoarder”.
To make a long story short, ME bought them all.
If you want to get your hands in one of these, all you need to do is watch on Ebay a seller called “Langzam”, he is (Marc) the owner of ME.
Under this name I have found many gems that I have now in my collection.
I’m posting here only a few of the models that soon will be selling on EBay.

I still don’t know what’s inside of all of these boxes.

UNBELIEVABLE.
I have never seen this much models coming from one person.

Mostly yes, they are plastics but you will see wood kits also.

Talking about plastic kits let me show you guys what I recently bought.
It’s a big kit with lots of details.

That is exactly what I thought when I saw the huge pile of models.
I strongly believe is a case of OCD. He even had three of the same make and model kits.

I just couldn’t take more pictures because the models where all over the place, but his collection was the biggest I have ever seen from a modeler.

I look at my stock pile of 30 or 40 kits waiting to be built. I shake my head wondering WHY…..
you go in to get some paint or cement…. I’ll just take a quick look about, next thing you know there’s a box of plastic bits in your hands.
I think the manufacturers put something in the cement that makes it addictive.

So let me get this straight. We were put here to build and create ? ls that a good reason to back to the hobby store ?

Definitely.
Tell your wife you are going to the store. Go there buy some milk and then go to your local hobby shop and SHOP.
When you get home, leave the model in the trunk for when she is not looking.

Nostalgic! No video games then, thank God! One other observation. Not a single person in the photo is overweight. Go figure.....well maybe the shop owner on the far left, but looks like he earned it.

This is the first model I bought with my weekly allowance back in 1968 when I was 11 freshly arrived in the USA.
I bought it again and I have in my closet as a remembrance from that moment.
