Hello my fellow modelers:
Looking through my models waiting to be build, this particular Dutch Fishing Boat caught my interest because I’m looking for something less time consuming after I complete my Ragusian Cog.
I call it a “Modeling Brake”.
It’s supposed to be an “Easy Build” and doesn’t pose significant challenges, because to assemble the hull you will only need one flat bottom, six overlapping planks and two bulwarks.
Even thought it looks easy I couldn’t find any building log in our archives.
So the question is: Has any of our members built her ?
I hope I’m not the first one, but I’m willing to take the challenge.

Hi Bluebeard; I do not know if I will be correct. I am writing to you from Europe (Spain) and I also have that model to make, although later when I have time. I send you the instructions in case you need Greetings, and encouragement Fcojavier

Apoco
Gracias, saludos desde Miami.
Yes is the same kit I have, but my model is the old version.
All my parts I have to cut them individually. No laser cut parts.
Do you have the new version?

Hi Bluebeard;
I hope the instructions serve you. Was it what you were missing ???
I think my model is the old one, I bought it second-hand through Ebay.
According to the Mantua website, the new model or reissue has not yet come out.

I also bought my model from Ebay. But searching throught the web, I found othre version with ARM 82.
Its on this German build log. https://modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=29120.
The diffrence is that way that the hull gets to be built.
Here are the pictures from my instructions book.
This is why I think that eithre I have a very old kit or Mantua revised this kit already.
What do you think?

I think you're right, yours is older still. I don't have that kind of instructions with images.
I can not confirm because I do not have the model here now, and the box has practically not changed.
I took this model because it was cheap and it is beautiful and simple, I also have it in other manufacturers that have disappeared but on a smaller scale.
Well, here in the forum I'm a bit of a novice, I registered very recently and I'm still not good at it, apart from that my English is very deficient.

In any case, this type of construction is still valid (G.K.Modellbau and Billing Boats) and it is very valid.
More practical for boats without keel or flat bottom.
On the other hand, from experience, you will have the best quality woods. With the revisions it is lost.

Im also practically new in this forum and Im also Spanish.
If you ever need the rest of the pictures from my instruction book, just let me know.

Gracias y suerte. (con lo que me cuesta hablar en ingles)
Cualquier otra cosa, aqui me tienes

Lo mismo por aquí.
Te has fijado en el log mío de Marisstella Cog 1/48?
Interesante nave.
