Master Korbel Treenails Imitation

Saw the Master Korbel kits on the Crafty Sailor site. One of the options for the Avos tender kit is “treenails imitation”. Does anyone know what that is? Do the planks come with treenails printed on somehow?
 
It's the marks of the nails that are imitated on the deck and strakes of the hull. It is marked by a small laser mark on the wood.
 
Do they have any photos of the treenail effect? We used laser simulated treenails on our 17th century battle station kits to good effect, but the scale was 1:32. Avos is 1:72, so it could overpower the model unless very subtle. Here's a shot of our battlestation:
