Sounds as if your computers are as old as you are. Like me I have multiple old PCs still, but most are just sitting idle, as I had to buy new higher power one for 3D printing software.

the best solution to old computers... get a tablet.

i use my old computers (win xp pro) to run my old machines, cnc, lasers, cadd stuff. the programs run fine plus no need to upgrade anything.

for online junk n emails, tablets. they run fast, compatable with just about everything, and generally are good for about 4-5 years before they need to be upgraded. a new tablet runs about $100. no need for anything fancy or name brand, that can get expensive and not practicle.

What I don't understand is that there are members at SOS who are also members of MSW. Mind you, I've only just joined SOS myself, of course.

banned? hugh imagine that.

since they upgraded, i had to create a new account because they didnt save any login data or something. ... i tried the forgot password, used my old name and email address but they didnt find it. so i regestered using my old screen name n address but had to change my password... it wasnt rated secure enough for them.

I am a member of both sites so as to get help from as wide a community as possible, as well as seeing the build logs others who have built the same kit to get pointers, where builders had problems, etc. I was not banned at MSW but they did delete my Unicorm Models Bonhomme Richard Cross Section build log as they consider them a pirate organization, while SoS allowed my build logs of that kit as they have others who built this kit prior to me.

you are fortunate. LIke I said I did not do a darned thing, and they banned me.
They can keep their site. I want no part of it anymore.

i feel your anger and frustration of being banned it makes you feel rejected kicked to the curb like rubbish. Although here on SoS it is about model ship building but also about the members who need to let it go, you were not the only one treated with such disrespect there are many on this forum that were kicked to the curb. Reasons were from they did not like the kit you were building, they have a personal grudge against you, they did not like a comment you made, they did not like what country you're from, they did not like you belonging to another forum. you were considered competition an odd one but none the less.
I know i am the poster boy of being banned and years worth of posts and build logs deleted out of spite. Perhaps they have changed but i doubt it because it is as the song said "see the new boss same as the old boss"
SoS is in my option the greatest and best forum in this hobby the staff has respect for one and all and what you choose to build.
I thought about what if they let me back would i go? answer not a chance. It would be too much of a risk creating a build log or a presence on the forum and one day out of nowhere and no reason your kicked out. nope! not for me. Yes here on SoS there have been times i was asked to cool it, or inappropriate reply but never ever disrespected it was always worked out in the end.
My advice is to let it go flip them off and move on to greener pastures, you were not left out in the cold with nowhere to go. Be here now and enjoy friendly company and comradery of fellow builders.
