10 years ago, a sailor friend of mine asked me if I'd be willing to build him a wooden 24 foot sailboat around an old Shark 24 fiber glass hull. I could'n resist. So 2 years later he had a nice wooden sailboat.
The thing is, aside from a shop full of wood scrap, I didn't have anything to remind me of the project. So I decided to scratch build the boat at 1/16 scale.

As you can see, the mast and rigging are really crappy so for my next project, I'm going to redo all that crappy stuff. I'll also complete the model itself and bring it as close as I can to the full scale boat I built.
