I am just about to embark on building the Amati Fifie model from the kit. I have only worked with plastic formats previously.
Having the opportunity to gain insight and knowledge from the members of SOS and also see existing Blogs of the same kit is so reassuring.
I look forward to sharing my journey with you and hoping that any pointers or tips you can give will be forthcoming.

Hi Jeff, I am looking forward to watching your build, the Amati Fifie is a great kit and at a good scale. I love these Scottish drifters and have recently finished a lovely little Zulu,( have a VM Fifie waiting under the bench,). I have done a lot of research into these boats so if you need to know something I am happy to help.

Welcome Jeff, you should have a good time here.

Please use the search function to locate any logs of the ship your working on.

Please start a build log so we can all follow along with you. If you have any problems just list or show them in the build log and the great folks here normally will provide assistance on how to handle the problem.

There are many great posts in the General Help section on how to do tasks like planking and rigging.
