My 1/72 scale aircraft

This is an excellent way to showcase all your 1/72's Dean, smart move. Now I can enjoy the exclusivity of your Gullo's P-38 and that mind blowing awesome silver skin you're covering it with!

Those little Fokkers are fantastic! Soooo, I want to see photos of your masking tape for the camo scheme on the DVII. :D

Decals?!? I'm so disappointed ... ROTF

Seriously, those are beautiful! Well done.
Thanks! When putting decals on decals, I had to clear coat each time. Add the lozenge decals, clear coat, add the stripe decals, clear coat, add the insignia decals, clear coat! That way when adding a decal on the previous one, the previous decal doesn’t move when getting wet. Otherwise you would have problems. So a lot of steps! ;)

Left to right, front to back:

Albatross D.Va
Nieuport 27
Fokker D VII

Tiger Moth RAF trainer
Fokker Dr1
Nieuport 24bis

Note: The Tiger Moth was not designed and built until after WW1 and before WW2, but since it is a biplane I decided to put it on the WW1 shelf. ;)
Your work is stunning and the paintwork is especially impressive. Salute mate!!

I’m excited to say I just ordered more WW1 aircraft model kits to add to my collection.

Sopwith Camel F1
Pfalz D IIIa
SE5a RAF
Albatros D II

So it seems I will be very busy in the future adding to my WW1 collection, as I already have 4 kits waiting to be built prior to this addition. So I now have 8 kits to be built and 6 on shelves. That should expand my WW1 collection nicely! ;)

Wonderful collection. Photos show detail and paint schemes worth of much larger scales. Well done! I always preferred modeling in larger scales, but the huge advantage of 1/72 is that you can have everything up to huge bombers, and all to scale.

Outstanding collection! Amazing work! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much!

I used to model in 1/48 scale, but they take up too much space. So I changed to 1/72 scale and was pleasantly surprised with the detail. Magnifying glasses and tweezers required! ROTF Another advantage is I am able to do most of the painting with a brush.
And you are correct, this way I can display a much larger collection all in the same scale. It’s nice to see the difference in size relative to one another. ;)

This is a build log dedicated to my 1/72 scale model aircraft builds.
I have not taken the time to photograph each aircraft individually, however I will start with photos of each shelf and name each aircraft in my collection.
I decided to make this thread so as not to keep posting additional builds and additions to my collection in other threads.
So here it is, a dedicated thread to my collection.
All new additions and builds will be posted here in the future. If you like airplanes as much as I do, welcome aboard.

So let’s start with my newest addition…

And this is a A6M2 Zero…

Here it is pictured with my A6M5C Zero, which came later as an upgrade.

You need a 1:72 aircraft carrier.
