My 1/72 scale aircraft

Now the paint and decals are done on the wings too.

Next will be flipping it over and installing the landing gear, actuation cylinders, gear doors, arrestor hook, pitot tube, etc. Then I will add the external fuel tanks and pylons, and some sidewinder missiles and pylons. So all the remaining work is underneath the jet.

F-100C Super Sabre finished!
This is the 19th jet and 95th aircraft in my 1/72 aviation collection.
First I finished the sidewinder missiles, they were 5 pieces each and a lot of tedious painting.

Also the arrestor hook and fuel tanks.

Then some final clear in a few areas and she was finished…

Then she was placed on the shelf…

I have come to the conclusion that if you have seen 1 aircraft build, you have seen 95! ROTF
At this point I don’t think there is much interest in aircraft on a ship building site.
So I am leaving you with the F-100 Super Saber build.
Thank you to those of you who have been supportive to the end!
I no longer think it is worth my time to document my builds here. Happy ship building to all.

The Sabre is a very nice example, Dean. And nice to see it standing besides the Starfighter.

It is precisely the difference between the various time periods that makes it so interesting. Perhaps with the ‘Please go on’ of a few interested people, we can still persuade you to continue showing the construction of some 'specials'?

I started out building a few of my favorites, and that eventually turned into me wanting to create a history of military aviation starting from WW1 to present.
But I fear the interest is not that big on SOS.
I could update with completed builds if there is still enough interest. But I am no longer going to show the building progress or steps. As you know that takes extra effort to take pictures and add text explaining what you have done or are doing and to update the progress as you build. I don’t think there is enough interest to justify that extra effort.

Thank you both, I know you have been consistent visitors and supporters, which I appreciate very much. If you wish I will continue to post my aircraft as they are completed. I just don’t want to do build logs anymore.
 
Hi Dean,

I would love to continue to see your completed models. I started my love of aviation modeling when I was in the second grade and have enjoyed model aviation all of my life. In fact I have several plastic models waiting in my stash for the day I decide to build one. I will look forward to seeing more of your beautiful work.

Well time slipped a little too fast for me this last week Dean, glad to see your F100 completed, its looks fantastic like all your others. I'll always have an interest in whatever you build be it clocks, ships, airplanes, even Harry Potter dioramas. Keep up the good work my friend and certainly keep posting whenever the mood strikes.
