Exercise Ibsamar IX (the link takes one to a web publication) took place in Simon's Town from October 5 to October 21, 2026. This trilateral maritime exercise brings together the navies of South Africa, India, and Brazil, featuring foreign warships like India's INS Tarkash, Brazilian naval vessels, and South African assets including a submarine and Gripen fighter support. Unfortunately I could noot attend and take pictures, as I was on a spot of leave on our south coast during that time. There may be some pictures on the FB page South African Naval Heritage.
