I am in need of a image/view of the fore jeer bits for La Renommee, the monograph shows a top down view, and a side view, but I can't find a front/back view anywhere. Anyone able to help me here?

I think on plate #28 you can find them, or?

I looked there, but it only shows a single bit, and the top down view shows a long piece, doesn't jive?

Can you make a photo of the deck plan (or other) and mark the element you are asking for?
Afterwards I can check the planset I have, and also the photos I have from finished models....

I do not have the monograph but looking at the reproduction of the plates included in the link Uwe listed, the fore-jeer bitts shown in plate 28 - item #20, where you have a front and side view. Front and back would be the same (I would think).

Here is plate 28 included in the link from Uwe:

# 20= Sep de drisse de misaine et la poulie d'itague
English
Item 20 - Fore-jeer bitts and tie-block

In this photo:
1 is the Fore-jeer bitts

2 is likely to be a row of cleats.
If you have the text portion of the monograph, you may find the mention of this row of cleats in this location (just aft from the foremast) under the appropriate plate (plan) number. The cleats themselves should be similar to the ones located at the front between the catheads. The only difference is that they could be installed on a base instead of just being fastened directly on the deck planking.

Again, I do not have the monograph. It is just what seems logical. Cleats and such are not represented in the longitudinal cut view.
