Need dimensions for a WWII escort carrier control tower (island)

I'm trying to scratch-build a 1/72 partial deck of an escort carrier (probably the USS Cowpens), but am having trouble finding dimensions of the island (or even some detailed drawings or schematics that I could figure it out with).

I want to use it as a display base for some fighter aircraft I have built, and I want the carrier to be accurate and in scale.

Can any of you help me on this?

Thanks in advance.

Jim,
The USS Cowpens was a light carrier (CVL-25). I build a 1/350 model of it some years ago since my father had served aboard her during WWII. Attached are side drawing of the Cowpens I found on the web years ago. I also included a photo of the island. They may help get you started.
Good luck,

So, according to the drawing posted above, USS Cowpens was an Independence Class Light Carrier, not an Escort Carrier. You should be able to find the information that you’re looking for from the Booklet of General Plans for either USS Cowpens or Independence Class Light Carriers. The US Navy History Command has published these for many World War II ships on its website. Do a web search.
