Hello again, well I had an old jointer than I had acquired 6 or 7 years ago second hand ✋ . It did not have a motor. Those things are great. I have a 4" one, a Craftsman, cast iron, from the 1950's. Also, an 8" one I used in the woodshop, a Rockwell from the late 60's. I use the 4" one for dressing model wood the most. Also, a 12 1/2" delta thickness planer that I use a lot.
