Welcome mate! I am a transplant to Virginia. Saw this post and was wow….the Occre Buccaneer was the first ship I built too. Knowing the kit as well as I do and the problem areas I am quite impressed. You really out did my project in a number of ways.
I loved it and followed it to the letter. Until I understood that they intended paper to be glued to it for the decorations. That really set me off into kit bashing, six ships later with much wisdom gleaned from these forums and others I still am in love with the hobby. I hope you find your journey with this hobby just as fulfilling.

Thank you for your kind words. I am enjoying something I always wanted to try but always filled my time with many other projects. Looking forward to continue working on this kit. It is coming out better than I thought my first wooden ship would.
