Hello everyone,

I am new to this site and wanted to introduce myself. I am Gordon 60 years old and trying to restore a 100 year old handmade model of the Halve Maen. The model has been on my father' mantle for over 40 years, she is crude and hand made in the early 1900's according to my father who is 91. I love the old ships and have rigged out a Cutty Sark before. I have an old black and white photo of her but do not know how to post photos on the internet. (maybe someone can help me with that and I will post the photo and a new photo of her in color).

I am not very savy with the internet. I do have a problem that maybe someone here can help me with. All of her rigging is rotten and basically all I have left is the ratlines. I also have the deadeyes and sails. The sails appear to be varnished and the flags hand painted. I am going to order more deadeyes and I need to order blocks for the new rigging.

Can any of you help me find the rigging plan for her? I have searched and searched and printed photos but need help desperately to bring her back to her glory for my father. He really wants me to restore her rigging before he leaves this world and I promised him I would do my best, but information is scarce. I live in Arkansas and just calling around to get some rigging gear is impossible. I cannot even get the rigging line here. Can someone point me to a good modeling site to buy this stuff?

Does someone have a rigging plan for her ? Any help at all would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

www.agesofsail.com has rigging line from Mantua and Amati in several sizes. He might be able to get a set of plans but this would be a complete set for a kit like the one Anja mentioned. The only problem is that importing things from overseas is very slow and may easily take 3 to 6 months to get. Corel does seem to do some decent research but i do not have their catalog so could not give you a number for their plan set or know whether they sell this separate.

Thank you Anja and Gary for your assistance for Gordon.

Hi, I am new to forum and just saw your post.

this is in Dutch: www.modelbouwers.nl

Their search shows items for "Halve Maen"

I would think if you wrote them, they could let you know what they have and how to buy. I am lead to believe their plans are excellent

info@modelbouwers.nl

I also see Billings Boats has a download of plans for Half Moon; alas, no rigging.

Hi Omar,
thanks for joining in on this topic and making your suggestions.
