I just joined, my wife and I live on an Acreage in the foothills area of Alberta, however being a Brit by birth I love the sea and anything to do with it. I retired in 2010 after a 30 plus year as an engineer in the oil industry , I have a dream workshop but age and arthritis hinder my ability to do human scale work with my hands, so I'm back to modeling, I did a lot in my youth. Just purchased the Artesenia Latina Victory new full model. My wife keeps asking why I'm getting so many deliveries recently, I have to tool up!!! New worktable, desk lamp ,glue and modelling tools etc. Never too old to start over, I turned 80 last year but my eyes are still fine and I still have a steady hand.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm building the new non-anatomy version. It's still in the FedEx system and lurching towards me at what seems a snails pace.
I will attempt to keep a build thread as I progress.
Right now I'm in shock over the news about the loss of the NRG Website,
It's a staggering loss of irreplaceable historical information, the perpetrators are beyond disgusting, Ransomware is bad enough but wanton destruction of millions of hours of work and voluntary constructive effort is just unconscionable
