Started my adventure by reading the "The Wager". Got interested in ship building. Bought a Corel HMS Victory 98:1 in April 24 on Craigs list. It has been an enjoyable process. Much like restoring cars, different challenges everyday. I have a laser and have used to make a number of parts for the ship. I have worked on it for about a year almost everyday, still much to do. Have become addicted to books on scratch modeling, hope my next project is a scratch build of the HMS Centurion.
The modeling community has been welcoming and helpful. (first week, this week photos)

Hello Fraser and welcome aboard. Very nice work on your Victory. If this is your first attempt at wooden ship building, I will be looking forward to following your HMS Centurion build.

Very nice work on the ship. My first model looked like a "first model". Yours looks like years of experience and many ships already on the shelf.
