Just joined this sitw as I about to start SOS by Mantua/Sergal.I have made models all my life, many Airfix /Balsa freeflight/Tamiya models, also Billings boats Cutty Sark/Jylland, Artesenia US Constellation/Occre Flying Dutchman.Also RC aircraft for many years.Studying the plans/instructions for SOS I think I shall carry out some modifications,lighting etc, also make the ropes a bit more of an authentic co lour.I`m not too worried about"true scale", I admire those that build from scratch and create wonderful models. So any tips and hints would be more than welcome.
 
welcome to the site sounds like you have done quite a bit of model building we wou;d love to see some of your models
