Newbe from Huntington WV

Hallo Thomas,
also from my side a warm welcome here on board of our forum
I am in Austria, so too far away, nevertheless we will all try to help you building your first wooden ship model.
Best way is to start a building log and you show your work and actual status, so we are able to giuve hints and tips and answer questions if requested.....

I know of some members from the WV area that are members here as I have seen their Avatar - but unfortunately, I can not recall who they are. I suggest first to go to the "General Helps" and write a new post "anyone from West Virginia?" and see if you get any hits.
Second, if you do not have a Build Log, then start one and post your progress so far - this way we can see what you are doing and we can guide you through the process a step at a time.

I'm new to model wood ships.
I would like to find someone local to guide me. I have a Harvey almost ready for second layer.
I worked at a steel mill.
I have G and Ho trains
