Yes, keeping an eye to windward with SoS earlier in my seaman's chest I could have saved some money on items purchased that I could have made or done without. This online shopping is a problem in that I cannot actually see and touch what I am considering and sometimes when received it was not as presented. I'll keep watching for tips and tricks as I proceed and am grateful for the expertise that is available in SoS before I go, ready to tack, helms over, hard a'lee!
