Hi everyone
I’ve just joined as I’ve only started to get into model ship building starting with a Tench Class attack submarine in 1/144 scale converted from the Trumpeter Gato kit. I intend to finish this model as a Greek boat during the 1974 Cyprus Conflict. Next up will be the classic Airfix HMS Devonshire with a new etched detail set, followed by Revell’s Type XX1 with the interior exposed. After modelling so many aircraft and AFVs, I’m looking forward to having a nice collection of boats. What I would really love to see in kit form is the Hughes Glomar Explorer maybe with the section of the K-129 that they allegedly managed to recover following the malfunction of the claw. Anyway, my Tench class sub is nearing completion so will post some more photos when she’s done.
