Occre Adler train

I am currently building two modelship dockyard kits (Hayling hoy and Pandora) but finding it slow going so having a go at this for a bit
Cut out parts for step one - the board seems to be some sort of fibre board or hardboard not as nice as wood but it will not be seen after assembly and all of the tabs are different sizes so it should be idiot proof

I also have this kit in work, stalled at moment but interesting little project.

I found adding boards to side of boiler was much like tapering planks on curves of hulls.

It is 1:24 scale (G45 rail)
Looking at the plans i don't think they need tapering much as the quite wide gaps between then seems to be a decorative feature of the model

That's a good scale to work with with. I've got several Occre Trams on the shelf.

I am waiting on them to restock the track base or maybe just go buy some G-scale track here and make it myself.

I am waiting on my birthday or so to get the Addler Car Set to go with engine.

Started the boiler planking the instructions say plank from the axle supports up but i can foresee error's creeping in at the top so i decided to start at the top and work down as any errors will be less visible

The boiler planked and as expected a slight error but at least it is out of sight, after priming there are a few high spot so i will sand it a bit more and try again
Started the fire box

First module assembled and primed but needs a touch of filler and the parts for the second module

Fitted the pistons and connecting arms and a pair of beams for the side rails the large wheels will be next

Fitted the linkages assembled and painted the large wheels i have not glued them at the moment in case they need any tweaking to fit G45 track (Just ordered) the small wheels are next

Assembled the wheels but not glued the side beams are next lots of photo etch parts

Attached the photo etch to one side of the beams wood parts to the inside face and primed now a few parts for the front of the engine next

Fitted the side beams a few bits on the front of the boiler and removed the parts to start the tender

Your work looks great, I am slowly working on mine, I added a nail to top center of brass strips on my boiler.

I fitted the front beam and assembled the basic box that forms the tender more parts to follow
I quite like the idea of nailing the brass rings and may do that later
