Well, I told you when I got back from vacation I would post a few photos of my work area. Bare in mind this is only the ship building/leather crafting side. I have another half of the garage with two more benches that are for wood working of larger projects. I'll post a couple of them later so you can see my builder side as well.
Note a few things, First, the models I am giving away are on the to[p of the shelves (yes, they do exist and will go out as soon as I get my butt in gear and get some boxes) and second every single drawer is labeled. I work my brother label maker to death sometimes.
Also note my judicious use of magnetic tool holders. Every small pliers sets of every kind, and hand held tool is on the overhead racks.

The low black tool box has driver bits of every kind imaginable, dremel bits and pieces, sharpener tools, some powered some manual stones of grits from 180 up to 8,000 grit. The tall black box is metal working and electrical and wood working tools. more drill bits than any dentist would own. I built a rack for all my different types of tape. The small plastic drawers are for clamps of all sizes, paints and more paints. The main two benches are for the Vasa work area and the Vasa wood , photos, plans and the two Ships of the Line books I just got.

But, just like all of you, theres so many small tools ferreted in every corner it's hard to show them all.also like you, I seem to know where everything is at any given time. I included two pictures from the other side where I do wood working so you could see one way you can create more space when you need it. I built a "door" that on the front side holds half of my battery powered hand tools and the back side of the "door is my clamp rack. You can barely see, but I used 6 4" barn door hinges so the weight would not be a problem for the door.

My wife and I have a deal. She has one side of the garage for her car. I don't put anything over there. I have the other half of the garage. My car sits outside all year and I sit in my heated and air conditioned garage on my "man cave" side. I even put up a small bell she has to ring before shes comes out to my side so she doesn't startle me when I'm working. It only took 48 years of marriage to train her!!!

I told my wife if I'm working with power tools and have hearing protection on, don't bother me. Wait until I'm done with what I'm doing before talking to me.
She understands that being startled while using a running band saw could be a bad thing. :)

Sounds like my side of the closet..finally had to set some Claymoor mines up..kept sneaking over under the cloak of darkness. putting garments on my hangers.. where did you get the bell.
? If I did get one, it wouldn't ring as it would be so far up my ****.

I take her shopping just enough so she conceded that one to me!! Claymoor mines are a good idea but pugil sticks are more painful!!!

It looks like you can never have enough pliers!
One can never have enough tools, bite your tongue!!! You would be amazed to know almost all those pliers are different!!! It's like I also have 9 different hammers!!! You don't want to kn ow how many different clamps I have!! I also have a small fridge on one bench to store glues in. I lost track of the different glues I have!! I just ordered a plank splitter. Clamps the planks lengthwise so you can cut perfectly down a straight line to split them. makes up for my shaky hands!!!
