Good morning. Fabulous sails. I love the old sewing machine-very cool. Cheers Grant
Thank you

The running rigging of the foresail.

An example of a mainsail serves as a basis.

Once again, first make a stock of blocks.

And the "parrels and ribs." Back then, I didn't have a milling machine. So the tools used are a bit oversized. But it worked out.

Shaping the sail

As mentioned elsewhere earlier, the cotton has already been treated with beeswax. To keep it in shape, it has now been coated with diluted white wood glue.
We are currently 4 years further on, and the shape is still holding up well.

The fore topsail

This setup is based on the cover of the book "Mary Rose your noblest shippe".
The rigging itself is based on info from the book Galleon by Peter Hirsch.

The rigging of the mainsail and the topsail of the mainmast.
Given that the setup and explanation are virtually identical to the foremast, only photos this time.20220828_102637_1280.jpg20220901_182127_1280.jpg20220903_160018_1280.jpg20220903_160111_1280.jpg20220903_164908_1280.jpg20220903_165000_1280.jpg20220903_165040_1280.jpg20220905_144206_1280.jpg20220905_144220_1280.jpg
