After having surgery on my eyes , 20/20 now, I ordered Glad Tidings and recieved it yesterday.Opened the box , looked at the drawings and wondered if I was in deep water.
I am proably will need a lot of help from members in this forum.

My last build was the King of Mississippi and it took me six months to build. I rembered it took Olha Batchvarov 10 months or 1800 hours to complete hers. I guess when you see it built in 10 minutes or so you tend to forget things like that.

I inventoried the kit and to my dismay there were 2 sheets of the starboard center keels and none of the port center keels. Other than the keels there were different parts on the wooden sheets. I sent a parts request to Model Shipways and they verified the reciept of request.

The first thing I need to research is I have to cut the rabbits in the keels for the planking. Never done that before. Any advice or tipswould be appreciated

Thanks in Advance

Ready for decking and planking, at least I hope I am.
I am really looking forward for planking, but I have to admit it's scareing the heck out of me. The plans say to use their pattern fo each piece, 3 or 4 for each layer, so I am guessing I need to have a copy or two of the sheet for planking pieces. I have to cut the paper pattern for each piece, so I need to have extra copies in case I screw a piece up. I have to use rubber glue to adhere the paper cut out for each piece Correct?
Thanks in advance...
