What kind of tolerances do you guys usually expect in your planking pieces? I have a byrnes saw and wonder what you guys would normally see when you make your own. I think I am maintaining about 3 thou plus or minus (6 thou total). I'd like to narrow it down a little but I wasn't sure if it was even possible, so I thought I'd ask you.

Given that you will be sanding quite bit, the 6 thou is unnecessarily small, IMHO. The values, as given by Y.T. seem pretty feasible to me.

for hull and deck planking i go with a + or- of .010 figure i am going to sand the hull and deck so trying to maintain a close tolerances is unnecessary.
