Hello

I've noticed that Amazon no longer ships their boats directly. Before, I paid the tax directly, and the boat arrived directly at my home in Thailand, with no additional charges.

Now, Amazon still ships the boats, but under the name of another company (for example, Model Expo). This means that upon arrival in Thailand, the shipping is handled by a private company like FedEx or DHL, and the fees are very high.

Pavel (Ukraine) ships by mail, and the shipping costs are much lower. Do you know of any websites that ship boats by mail or that don't use brokers? I'm thinking of not buying boats in the future (except from Pavel, which is very good).

With broker, in Thailand, I have much paperwork to do, go to Bangkok and spend two nights hotel to go and ask a paper in the agricultural minister ( 5 minutes ) ( because of wood ) and pay a lot of money extra for FedEx ; I did it one time, I refuse to do it again

Thank you.

May be "eBay International Shipping "is good, it's written that the import charges are paid at check out
If I understand well, it's what I need and what I did before with Amazon

Maybe you can order directly from Model Expo. For that matter, you can order directly from the manufacturer or maybe contact them to see if they have a local distributor. Go to the website of a manufacturer like Model Ship Dockyard or CAF to see you can order directly for shipment to Thailand. One example https://modelshipdockyard.com/contact-us/

Thank you for response : I have contacted already several distributprs, among them Model expo
all of them say that their carrier is either Fed Ex, UPS etc

I have read somewhere ( maybe Ebay ), that some distributors work with USPS ( not UPS ) , which is public American post, surely cheaper than private compagnies

USPS is about the same cost or a little less than FedEx but takes double the time for delivery and USPS loses more packages than anyone else. We had a couple very sad grandchildren this past Christmas when two out of four of them did not get their Christmas gifts. One of the missing gifts was returned to our home after 35 days and the other never showed up anywhere. If you use USPS, make sure they insure it and require a signature at delivery to be sure they do not "lose" it

With Amazon, it depends on if it is something that they stock in their warehouse or if it is offered from one of their external dealers.
Warehouse space is very expensive, so they are only going to stock the items that are most commonly sold.

Amazon.com (USA) is selling fewer boats, and now they're selling boats from Model Expo and Kreatifity, and they don't offer to pay taxes on purchase. Occre and Artesania Latina are appearing less and less in their catalog: probably not enough customers.
