I built this one just for a change. It shows a typical Napoleonic prison hulk at moorings. I based the hull on HMS BELLONA. It was quite relaxing doing this one, because I didn't have to be as careful with the detail as it was meant to be in a bit of a mess anyway! I really think I should build more simple dioramas.

Hello Anja,
Thanks. The laundry was my wife's idea and she made it all, she did the figurehead as well :D
It certainly made a change from my usual models. Some of the prisoners aboard the hulks produced some unbelievable model ships from bones, but you will already know this, of course.

Gary,
I think the greatest pleasure in doing this one was that it was meant to be a mess - no need for deck sweeping :D

There are lots and lots of bone models around and they often sell at auction for £1,000 plus, some as much as £30,000. The quality is often amazing considering that had no special tools or adhesives.
