PSS Great Eastern

Real nice... Congratulation! Are they both scratch builds or based on kits. Looking at the plans in the pictures, I'm assuming the first.

Fabulous model! I have been looking for a decent set of plans or a kit for years. Did you draw your own plans or buy then? Where could I find them or could I buy a copy from you? Please contact me! Your work is beautiful! Also how did you simulate the steel plated null? I assume you did plank on frame first. Love to hear from you with details. Thanks. Lou. bonedoctor51@hotmail.com.

Thank you, for the iron plating I used masking tape and several coats of filler primer. You can see that on one of the photos of early stage. No plans but pictures in books and lots of photographs . Ocean Steamers John Adams The big Ship. Patrick Beaver, and documents from the British Museum. I used these if it can help. RegardsDSC02079.JPGDSC02081.JPG
