I had been interested in building the 1/25 version of this kit for some time. Life and other kits got in the way as did concern for the impacts of the war in Ukraine and potential tariff issues. I finally saw a way clear and placed my order at the end of May through the Nikitin Hobbyskipper site. The order shipped right away and arrived in my little town in California on 8 June, amazingly fast. The package was wrapped in 3/4 inch styrofoam and clear plastic wrap and arrived in great condition. No extra tariff charges were levied prior to delivery (via Amazon and USPS on the US end). Will save you all the unboxing as that has been done as well as the fantastic how to videos by Olha Batchvarov. Just wanted to pass along a great example of prompt and effective customer service. Can’t wait to get started.

I’m brand new to the forum. I bought the 1/32 version (V3) along with the mast step. Almost done. The correspondence with Hobbyskipper was great. Very responsive and accommodating. I also found the U-tube videos invaluable. Learning a lot through the build. Relearned an old adage, though, that perfect is the enemy of good. Will share pictures shortly. Look forward to more in this thread. Joe
 
Hello there, I am a Norwegian and I know the details of this ship in and out. The wonderful features of the bow and stern carvings.I have this kit myself, and ecüxcellent shipkit. In my opinion the best on the market.
 
Bonsoir à tous, je suis de France. J'ai commandé en février de cette année sur le site "shipsofpavelnikitin.com" la version 1/25 de l'Oseberg ainsi que la nouvelle version du mast steep. Je suis toujours en attente de la livraison. Les réponses données par M. NIKITIN sont évasives (retards de fabrication, problèmes avec les sous traitants etc ....). Je suis bien conscient des difficultés rencontrées en Ukraine mais je commence à me demander si je n'ai pas été arnaqué. Ma question s'adresse à tous les honorables membres du forum qui ont commandé leur kit via ce site. Avec vous eu de long délais de livraison (plus de six mois) ? En vous remerciant par avance. Le bonjour à tous de la région de Bordeaux.

Bonsoir Patrick B. En raison de la guerre en Ukraine, ma livraison a également pris cinq mois. J'ai envoyé un e-mail à Nikitin au sujet de ce long délai ; il a répondu rapidement et a expliqué la situation. Le modèle est arrivé parfaitement emballé et sans aucun dommage.
