My original question regarding planking was, If it possible to use bamboo for planking,
I have since, thru this forum, to realize that that would be a huge mistake, Have since
acquired 20 Bd Ft of Yellow Cedar, which will be the main wood used thru-out the entire Build
 
Alaskan yellow cedar is a lovely wood with which to work. The below is from supplier Syren Ship Models of a model built with this wood.
