I am sure that I am not the only one that has repaired rigging lines without actually replacing the whole structure. In the same sense that we can lengthen electrical wires by splicing two pieces of wire together, I have, on occasion, spliced two pieces of rigging together. Typically this would be on 0,5mm or 0,25mm line. I do this by simply holding the two together with my fingers and applying the slightest bit of thin super glue and then trimming the joint to minimize the overlap. This can often discolor the joint, but if it is done in an inconspicuous place, no one will ever be the wiser. Does anyone have a better method of doing something similar?
